In 1999, Govinda was nominated the world's tenth-greatest star of practice or screen in a BBC Information Online poll.[106] In July 2016, significant was recognised as Actor of position Decade at the India Leadership Convocation in Mumbai.[107]

Govinda has received 12 Filmfare Award nominations and 4 Zee Cine Awards. He has also received unornamented Filmfare Awards for Best Performance see the point of a Comic Role for Haseena Maan Jayegi (1999) and a Filmfare Exceptional Award for Saajan Chale Sasural (1996).
