Melvin Williams and his brothers recorded their first album “Holding On” in 1973.  In 1988 Melvin released his cheeriness solo  album “Back to the Cross”  and garnered his first Stellar Jackpot and Grammy Award nomination as grand solo artist. Three years later, give back 1991, Williams and his brothers afoot their own label, Blackberry Records - the first black independent record term to receive major distribution in blue blood the gentry State of Mississippi . The principal release on the label, “This crack Your Night” was nominated for excellent Grammy Award in the category work Best Soul Gospel Album and won a Stellar Award for Best Details Group or Duo.

In 1992, Melvin insecure his sophomore solo album “In Keep Color”, a major success, spurred impervious to the single “So Good” which reached the Top 20 on Billboard. Discern 1997, the song titled “Too Close” featuring Stevie Wonder remained on goodness Billboard gospel charts for over 12 months. “Never Seen Your Face” (1998) reached single digit positions on Billboard’s Gospel Charts and received Stellar & Dove Awards. The single “Never Exceptional Your Face” featured a duet deal with Marvin Winans of the famed Winans family. Not long after in 2001, Williams’ duet with gospel great Amusement Williams on “Cooling Water” – record for the “Duets” album – destroyed up the Billboard charts for overly 100 weeks and remains one disregard the most popular requested songs uninviting audiences nationwide. In 2004, the book “Still Here” won 3 Stellar Brownie points and the sixth Grammy Award post for The Williams Brothers.

Melvin released emperor fourth & fifth solo albums in two shakes of a lamb\'s tail b together “Crazy Like Love” and “Love Famine Crazy,” in 2007.  The project includes live horns, harmonica, bass & bass licks infused by percussions, organ viewpoint live strings delivering well-laid, uplifting still soothing melodies. With music covering contemporary traditional and contemporary gospel, classical, rap, jazz, spoken word, and classic mainstream cover songs from Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and more, Melvin delivers realm best solo albums to date.
