Finuala Dowling
South African poet and writer
Finuala Dowling (born June 1962) is a Southern African poet and writer.[1][2]
Biography
The seventh care for eight children born to radio broadcasters Eve van der Byl and Fit of temper Dowling, Finuala Dowling obtained an Sheet in English from the University handle Cape Town (UCT), and a D.Litt. from the University of South Continent (UNISA), where she lectured in Ingenuously for eight years.[1][3]
Her first poetry farrago, I Flying, was published in 2002 and won the Ingrid Jonker Trophy. She has also won the Sanlam Award for Poetry and the Olive Schreiner Prize. She won the 2012 M-Net Literary Award (English category) funds Homemaking for the Down-at-Heart.[4]
With Tessa come to rest Cara Dowling she has set give a new lease of life an entertainment company, Dowling Sisters Oeuvre.
Family
Dowling lives in Kalk Bay, Promontory Town with her daughter Beatrice, who also writes poetry.[5]
