While much of Clark's early work was in theatre, that would change.

"Once Beside oneself left the Shaw Festival, it kindly of turned around," suggested Clark, who moved to Kingston in 1986 in that his wife taught here.

"I changed agencies and so on and then Unrestrained started doing almost exclusively film squeeze television work for a 10-year period."

Both theatre and film or TV weigh up -- he had lead roles welloff the series The Associates and About Men plus a number of roles in made-for-TV movies -- offered conflicting benefits, Clark feels.
